Inlakesh Mission Statement

Didgeridoo Mission statement and philosophy. Our history with playing and making didgeridoos stretches back to Australia in the late 1980's. For Tanya, growing up in Australia, the didgeridoo was an ever present fixture of alternative lifestyle and aboriginal solidarity. For Rob it began while living in Australia with Tanya and being exposed to the beauty of Aboriginal culture and the mystery of Australia's wilderness. We are deeply passionate about the Earth and didgeridoos. We strive to create instruments that are both sustainable, easy to play and magical instruments for didgeridoo enthusiasts (our friends) to add to their quiver of dreamtime tools. We harvest our agave in the Upper Sonoran Desert and select only stalks which have completed their life cycle, seeded and died. Each piece is personally chosen, harvested, carved, painted and finished by our hands. We have been making didgeridoos from Agave for more than two decades and have taught literally thousands of people the art of playing. Many of the didgeridoo players and makers throughout the U.S. received their first didgeridoos from us or received instructions on how to play from us.
